It is normal that some questions arise. If you couldn't find the answer you were looking for, you can write me by mail. I will be happy to answer all your questions.

Availability

    • Then I can recommend other colleagues, so you don't have to look for interpreters from scratch. All the colleagues I collaborate with are professionals with a university education, a master's degree in conference interpreting, and at least two years of professional experience.

    • The earlier, the better. There are some months of the year when there are peaks of work when it is difficult to find interpreters available.

Location

    • Yes, you can. One of the services most in demand since the pandemic is remote simultaneous interpretation (ISR).

    • Of course, I provide translation and simultaneous interpretation services in Mallorca, Spain, and Europe. What's more, if I have to take a plane for an assignment, I will donate 5% of the amount to the non-profit organization Reforesta to offset emissions.

Specialization

    • No. These are the sectors I specialize in, but I also work in other areas, as you can see in my portfolio.

Languages

    • To offer high-quality services and comply with the code of ethics of the profession, I work with the following language combinations:

      Written translation:

      From English to Spanish

From English to Catalan / Valencian

      From German to Spanish

From German into Catalan / Valencian

      Simultaneous translation (interpretation):

      From Spanish to English

      From English to Spanish

      From Catalan to English

      From English to Catalan

    • Don't worry. For these kinds of cases, I collaborate with a network of colleagues with other language combinations and areas of expertise, all of whom are professionals with university degrees, a master's degree in conference interpreting, and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience.

Services

    • No. But thanks to the network of specialized and accredited professionals with whom I collaborate, I can recommend a reliable sworn translator.

    • Yes, I can organize teams of interpreters to cover the languages you need for your event.

    • This service has an extra cost, but it is worth it because it reduces your workload. It is much easier and faster to talk to just one person instead of eight.

    • All the colleagues I work with have a university education and a master's degree specializing in conference interpreting and have at least two years of experience in the industry.

    • It depends on the subject, specialisation, and complexity of the text; and the translator's availability.

    • If availability allows, I can accept urgent orders, although, in such cases, the urgency fee will be applied.

Rates

    • No. In the European market, we usually have rates for an 90 minutes assignment, for half-day, and full-day.

    • Interpreting service during the event

    • Thorough preparation of materials and terminology

    • A sound check

    • Availability 30 minutes before the event starts

    • 15 minutes of courtesy

    • The translation fee includes the 3-step process: translation, editing, and proofreading.

    • Translation: translate the text from one language to another.

    • Editing: check the consistency, coherence, and spelling of the text.

    • Proofreading: the text is revised to correct possible grammatical and spelling errors.

For quality reasons, I do not accept assignments that do not require proofreading.
